Ciaran Maguire is a highly experienced solicitor specialising in criminal defence law. He represents clients across Northern Ireland in some of the most serious and complex criminal cases including charges of murder, drugs offences and large-scale fraud.

Ciaran graduated with a degree in Common & Civil Law with French from Queen’s University Belfast, which included a year of study at the University of Bourgogne in Dijon, France. He completed his professional training at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS) in 2002 and was awarded the Certificate of Advanced Advocacy in 2009.

In addition to his legal practice, Ciaran contributes to the development of the profession as a tutor at IPLS. He also served as Chair of the Belfast Solicitors Association from 2019 to 2021, reflecting his commitment to the legal community and professional standards.
